The typical Filipina is very charming. It is
very easy to fall in love with a young Filipina who you may see as naive in many
ways. Your common sense goes out the window and you want to believe everything
she says. In a poverty stricken country where survival is the strongest instinct,
people mature faster than you think. People come to us all the time after they
are so involved in a relationship they should have walked away from at the
start. Your biggest problem is that you will love her and believe
her, and you will suffer great financial loss and emotional stress.

Consider all the these things that you could be asked for and than ask yourself how she survived without you: Doctors Bills, Hospital Bills, Medicine Bills, Funeral Expenses, Loss of Job, The Rent is Due, The Power is Being Turned Off, etc. This just scratches the surface but these really get to 'rich' soft-hearted foreigners. Consider that $200 a month is about middle income and you will realize that the 'little' you are giving is a months salary or more. Would you give your neighbor or a friend back home (that you really know) a months salary? People here are not at all bashful about asking to borrow money. They call it being thick-faced. They never intend to repay as a loan here is a gift.
You really cannot fix this country and all its problems. Most foreigners we talk to send a substantial amount of money here on a regular basis. If you consider that $200-400 (USD) a month is middle class here and you are sending that much per week you need to reconsider. You will learn that people here are not bashful about asking for your money. If you sent the typical family here $100-$200 a month you would be helping out substantially. If you send that much per week you need to reconsider.
You can let your 'love' for her blind you and start giving very generously. You'll find the needs start growing exponentially as you keep giving. Do you really know what your money is being used for? Many of these girls really are pros at squeezing every possible dollar out of you. In many cases the day comes when a client finds out he is supporting her and her boyfriend, or worse yet, her and her husband. If you think for a moment that he (either one of the above) will not let her spend time with you and sleep with you while you are here, think again. The Filipina in many cases is doing these things with the full knowledge of her companion. To him the lifestyle you give them is more than he could possibly make and she is just doing a job, a job that pays very well. In this impoverished society, money is in short supply. You are like a money tree. It is truly amazing how us older foreigners can let these young girls start controlling our lives. If you start finding that she knows all the right buttons to push you to do as she says you have a real problem. The fact is, you are in 'love' and you totally trust your new found young and beautiful Filipina. Its a dream that came true. You'll want to hang on to the few truths she has told you over time and ignore all the obvious lies. At this point, you are in serious trouble. Don't be embarrassed either. It happens to some very bright people and we see it everyday. Its because we grew up in a loving and trusting culture. Nothing that we see shocks us anymore. You could tell us you spent $50,000 on a relationship that was a scam. We know people who have been scammed out of ten times that much. For that type of investment in a relationship, I would suggest you look much closer to home. There are poor young girls in America (or wherever) that you could buy for that kind of investment. When you find real love here it will not be based on how much you are sending. A Doctor, yeah an MD) that is making $1000 a month is doing well, and a Registered Nurse making $300 a month is also doing well. You give her $1000 a month and her income places her in the top 1% of the population as far as income goes. For her, you could be like winning the lotto. Who wouldn't love to hit the lotto? The fact of the matter is that if you found her on a big dating site or a yahoo chat room your odds of finding the true and honest Filipina are not good. Oh I know, you'll say, "but she isn't like that'. Do yourself a favor and absorb all of this site so that you learn how to prove that she is not like that.
