Common Trouble Signs:
Barely Speaks EnglishShe has to have reasonable English speaking skills or you are in trouble. They are taught English here and many can actually read it reasonably well as all government publications are in English. Doesn't mean they can speak it or really understand it
well. Pronunciation is a real problem. How are you going to know your Filipina 'loves you'
if you can't communicate? Not only that, but it will be an excuse for everything she does that you disagree with. You'll say no or something and she'll say she didn't understand. This is where it is real important to chat online with a headset and webcam for many hours before you can make a determination about many things.
She has ChildrenMost
of us love children. The problem here is that if she has a child her options are
limited. Filipinos only want to marry virgin Filipinas, or at least be the
one who took her virginity. This severely limits her options in life. Foreigners
are not so selective and you can be her ticket out of poverty. The real problem
is determining why she 'loves' you. This is why our services are so valuable.
You at the very least need to know about the children prior to getting involved.
Many times you will not find out until you are emotionally involved. Also consider that she may be married if she has one or more children.
She is Still MarriedMany
girls will tell you that they are waiting for an annulment as divorce as we know
it is not allowed here. It is highly unlikely that she can afford the cost of an
annulment. It is neither cheap nor fast to obtain. If she is in the process of
getting an annulment demand some proof. It is not something that most Filipinas
could do without much help. (By the way, we do offer this service). We hear
constantly about foreigners paying for the annulment(s). That's right, it could
be plural. It seems that due to the cost and difficulty many Filipinas will just
marry another. Its not exactly legal but then again this is a different world.
Then consider that you may pay for the annulment and she may run off with
someone else. It happens.
She needs MoneyMost
do. So many of us foreigners find it so easy to start giving money quickly. She
did not have your money before you started chatting so don't start giving. She
has been surviving without you up until now, she'll be OK. It is amazing how
soft-hearted us foreigners are. That is not to say that the need does not exist,
it is just to say that once you become part of the family, you'll be giving
enough. Don't rush it.
She Loves YouIt
is amazing to find out how quickly we fall for these girls. They just say 'I
Love You' and our common sense goes out the window. Wait until you meet her and
spend quality time with her, else you may fall into a trap. I would always suggest meeting her more than once before making a real commitment. I would also say live with her for a good while before you have decided she is the one.

YearsYou have to ask yourself why is she getting older and is still not married? Are you getting the whole story? What has she been doing all these years? Proceed with caution.
You Catch Her LyingI think that all too many Filipinas find it all too easy to lie. Start asking yourself if you really want to live with someone who is not truthful in all things.
She is in a HurryThey usually are when it comes to getting your money.
Everything else moves painfully slow here. They talk about Philippine time. People start getting ready at the time they are actually supposed to be somewhere.
